Dr. Kocen has been invited to speak at the North American Veterinary Conference in January 2001. He will be speaking on the use of Chinese herbs in small animal practice. He has also been asked to present a Master's Class on Acupuncture and Chinese herbs

In the September 15, 2000 issue of The Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association (JAVMA), an article by Dr. Kalkstein was published titled, "Prevalence of Heartworm Infection in Healthy Cats in the Lower Peninsula of Michigan."
