Pets
Stewart, a 5 year-old cat adopted from the DC Animal Shelter, and Rooney, a 3 year-old cat kindly given to me by one of our wonderful clients, Ms. Koski. Rooney was born with Cerebellar Hypoplasia (from a viral infection), which makes him very clumsy but normal in other ways. He plans his moves carefully and loves wrestling with Stewart. |
Personal Facts
Betsy grew up in Michigan, and left the ice and snow during her college years. After her residency, she was a member of the neurology faculty of the Veterinary School of the University of Pennsylvania for several years, then moved to Virginia and began her work at SouthPaws. She was president of the DC Academy of Veterinary Medicine in 2006-2007, and remains on the board of directors. She and her husband Clyde Hart sail, play amateur hockey locally and work altogether too hard into heir garden in Fallls Church. They are avid (some say "rabid") fans of the Washington Capitals Hockey Team. |
